Volunteer Fee – Pay at Main Gate

Price range: $0.00 through $75.00

Please pay ONLY after we have offered, and you have accepted, a volunteer role for this year. Visit hillsidefestival.ca for more information.

After July 3rd, volunteers must pay their volunteer fees at the Main Gate. Arrive early, as lineups are long.

The following categories of fees are available:

Unwaged – Choose if you are a student, retired, on a fixed income, or unemployed.
Waged – Choose if you have a job or a regular source of income.
Family – Up to 2 adults and 4 children (13-17) who are volunteering at the festival.
Membership – Add a Hillside membership at a special volunteer rate (regular fee is $25).
Donation – Optional, see below.

To become a member with voting privileges at the AGM, please purchase a “Membership Add-on” or visit the membership page.

The Volunteer Donation is an optional contribution to help cover the costs of Hillside’s volunteer program, including offering camping on the island and volunteer hospitality. We recommend a contribution of at least $20 if you are planning to camp in Volly Village, and $30 if you are planning to camp with a camping vehicle or RV/trailer 18′ and shorter. $20 contributions and up will be issued a tax receipt, but any amount is greatly appreciated! 

RVs over 18′ are encouraged to register for Festival Fields camping — large trailers are encouraged to arrive early as space is limited. Sorry, no RVs over 18′ will be permitted to camp in Volly Village in 2026.

Please pay ONLY after we have offered, and you have accepted, a volunteer role for this year. If you have not received your acceptance notice via email, you have not yet been admitted to the volunteer program and should not pay the volunteer fee. Visit hillsidefestival.ca for more information.
